The Virginia DCJS Active Attack cadre delivered ALERRT Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) sessions to the Fairfax County Police SRO Division on August 11, 2020. This block of instruction, along with Civilian Response Casulaty Care (CRCC), is part of our expanding commitment to providing nationally recognized training opportunities to our LE/civilian stakeholders across the Commonweath. Many thanks to Fairfax County SGT Brett Choyce for his professional hospitality during our visit. #leader

"Safety is one of the three main elements of safe and supportive schools and SRO's clearly plays an integral role in establishing and maintaining safety in their law enforcement officer role. It is evident, however, that can also contribute positively to strong relationships and a favorable environment in their other roles as law-related educators, informal counselors, and role models."
