About

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network protocol by which IP Addresses get automatically assigned to a network. By deploying DHCP across the campus and branch networks, a desktop or a VoIP (Voice over IP) administrator need not set up each device. When a laptop, desktop, printer, or phone connects to the network, it automatically obtains an IP address. The DHCP infrastructure, managed by the TCPWave DDI controller, is responsible for getting the broadcast requests from all the devices that need an IP address. The TCPWave DDI controller can manage the TCPWave DHCP remotes and the Microsoft DHCP remotes.
