Warren Buffett's Big Weekend: The Unicorn of the Corporate World

It's one of the most unusual sites in the business world. Like a four-leaf clover or a unicorn, the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder meeting in Omaha, Nebraska is so rare because there's nothing else like it: what you have is a publicly-traded company that not only embraces its shareholders but provides them the broadest opportunity of any company on the planet to question company leaders, yell at them, praise them, throw verbal tomatoes at them. No dodging questions or clipping the meeting after 45 minutes.

The conglomerate that has companies from Dairy Queen to NetJets to Burlington Northern Railroad to Marmon industries, Lubrizol, The Pampered Chef and more under its umbrella is the focus of thousands of faithful who flock to Omaha every year to hear founder, chairman and CEO Warren Buffett (who sits on stage with Vice Chair Charlie Munger) opine about his vast businesses, the economy, and who knows, maybe even bitcoin.

I've been covering the meeting for nine years, seven of them for Fox Business Network. I always take a different tactic each year, interviewing some of his managers (this year NetJets, Gen Re Insurance, Pampered Chef, etc.) his three grown children -- Howard, Susie and Peter -- and Buffett himself.

Warren Buffett and his children talk to me about growing up as a Buffett.

By the time the entire event comes to a close, I will have spoken to Warren Buffett four times, the big culmination coming Monday at 9:35 a.m. EST on Fox Business Network when Buffett grants me a near hour-long interview during the first hour of market trade.

He'll be joined by Munger and Microsoft founder and Berkshire Hathaway director Bill Gates. There's nothing like it. Being granted a no-holds-barred opportunity to talk to the richest minds. I'm always interested to hear their thoughts on everything from the economy and business to things like the Russia/Ukraine tensions, climate change and the investment potential there, currency/US dollar thoughts and the political landscape.

And to open it the our viewers is a great gift, whether you agree with or invest in Buffett or not!
