Nice piece Diego Rodriguez. It occurs to me that Patrick's approach to his life and his passions would be just what the Indianapolis Motor Speedway needs for leadership. If this is a genuine portrait of Patrick - and I will assume it is - this is the kind of mentality that is desperately needed at the facility and in the IndyCar sport. He would need to bring in an entirely new team but that kind of creative destruction is what is needed if a place built by visionary entrepreneurs is to be dislodged from unimaginative elements that exploit it and weigh it down today.
