Our Hurricane Preparedness team met extensively Tuesday morning to implement our Hurricane Plan as now Tropical Storm Helene continues to strengthen. The system is expected to intensify into a major hurricane before it approaches the northeastern Gulf Coast on Thursday. There are now Tropical Storm Watches and Flood Watches for our area. In an abundance of caution, we are preparing Alys Beach for severe winds and rains. All Alys Beach amenities including ZUMA, Caliza, the Beach Club and Beach Services will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as will most of our Town Center shops, restaurants and merchants. We will determine the reopening of amenity operations for the weekend once we have had a chance to survey damages following impact. Our thoughts are with our neighbors to the east. #alysbeach
