This past weekend, the Wm. T. Spaeder Company had an open house in which we invited our extended family to see all the changes and innovations that have happened over the years. Even some 2nd Generation Spaeders and other retirees attended. For the event, we put together a video presentation about the history of the company, where it is now, and where we see it going in the future! PROUD EMPLOYER ALERT Congratulations are in order for Spaeder estimator, Hayden Seibert, PE, who has attained his Professional Engineer licensure for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the discipline of Civil Engineering. This was no small accomplishment in and of itself, but is also one in which Hayden has done while simultaneously working full time here at Spaeder, working toward his Masters in Civil Engineering at the Columbia University, and also preparing for the birth of his second child. Congratulations, Hayden! ??

Finishing up the final touches on these two brand new boiler systems as my last project for Wabtec Corporation. I could not be happier with the results from the countless hours of engineering, planning and executing required for these two projects. Given a tight timeline of 3 months, Wm. T. Spaeder Company did an excellent job simultaneously completing both installations. (Challenges such as: demolition of multiple walls, 6 separate roof penetrations, using a locomotive flat car to transport a boiler through a building, horizontal boring over 1600 feet for utilities, the list goes on). These point of use boilers will prove pertinent in providing energy efficient solutions for the facilities process needs.

Our truck below, full of donations and on its way to Barnhart Inc. to be added to the rest of the items being trucked down to North Carolina to help in the wake of Hurricane Helene. We'd like to give a special shout out to Trumbull Industries Inc. who dropped off eight boxes of supplies yesterday. And Spaeder's own employees donated over $1,600. ?? PLEASE HELP Spaeder Support North Carolina Hurricane Victims. Spaeder is partnering with Barnhart Inc. and Katie Cameron of Agresti Real Estate for their Erie Stuff the Truck with Love for NC supply drive! We are now an official drop off location for needed supplies (see photo below) and will be accepting these items until 1PM on Thursday, October 10th. Donations can be dropped in our visitor lobby at 1602 East 18th Street. Items will then be trucked over to Barnart to be added to the shipment being taken down to North Carolina.

Spaeder celebrated our team members with birthdays in the third quarter last week. Our luncheon was catered by The Chameleon food truck. The food was outstanding and birthday celebrants enjoyed the beautiful weather while visiting with co-workers! ???? HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
