Empowering the Future: Supporting Education and Health for All Youth He shares, Education is key, and it's crucial that we support all young people, both girls and boys, in staying in school and making informed decisions about their health. It's heartbreaking that funding for sensitization programs has stopped, but I believe that's where we, as a community, need to step in. We need to take ownership of this issue and work together to educate and empower our young people. By supporting government initiatives and taking on the responsibility ourselves, we can make a real difference. Moreover, I strongly believe that we shouldn't rely solely on international funding, such as from the USA. Instead, we should also explore local funding opportunities and partner with local organizations and businesses to support our cause. This will not only ensure sustainability but also promote self-reliance and community ownership. The consequences of not doing so are severe - STIs, HIV, and other health risks are just the beginning. We owe it to ourselves, our children, and future generations to take action. NATIONAL YOUTH WEEK LAUNCH ???? Aim-Higher Youth Cooperative proudly joined the Launch of National Youth Week at Piazza East Park, officiated by the Hon. Elvis Nkandu, MP Minister of Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts Under the theme “Voices Amplified and Innovation Ignited,” this event highlighted the power of young people in shaping Zambia’s future. We were honored to exhibit Aim-Higher Youth Cooperative - Zambia showcasing our work in entrepreneurship, leadership development, skills training, and climate change action. It was an incredible moment to see our Founder and Executive President, Mr. Friday Wisdom Chamfya engage with the Hon. Minister and the Permanent Secretaries Mr Kangwa Chileshe and Mr FUMBA CHAMA ( Pilato ) , learning from them, exchanging ideas on how to further youth empowerment in Zambia. At Aim-Higher Youth Cooperative - Zambia we celebrate this national milestone because we are committed to uplifting young people, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities that drive sustainable development. Statement by Mr. Friday Wisdom Chamfya Founder & Executive President, Aim-Higher Youth Cooperative - Zambia It is with great excitement and pride that we, as a youth-led organization focused on entrepreneurship and leadership development, Climate Change Action and Youth empowerment advocacy, witness Zambia’s strong representation at the Zambia-Japan Business Forum in Tokyo, Japan. Seeing our Zambia's number one Chief Marketing Officer, His Excellency President Hakainde Hichilema alongside Presidential Advisor on Business Investment Mr. Jito Kayumba, Hon. Chipoka Mulenga and ZAM President Mr.Ashu Sagar advocating for Zambia’s manufacturing sector is truly inspiring. From the perspective of our Founder & Executive President, Mr. Friday Wisdom Chamfya an Associate Graduate of University of South Africa (UNISA) - Unisa Graduate School of Business Leadership (SBL) in Business and Entrepreneurship Development, a Kectil Centre for Youth Excellence-Zambia Alumnus in Entrepreneurship and Leadership, and a YALI Regional Leadership Center Southern Africa Alumnus, strongly believe that youth entrepreneurs and leaders must leverage this growing international cooperation to foster innovation, drive investment, and scale businesses that will accelerate Zambia’s economic transformation. MENTAL HEALTH AND SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AWARENESS AND PEER PRESSURE AMONG STUDENTS On 20th January 2025, Aim-Higher Youth Cooperative - Zambia , led by Mr. Manuel Muke and its partners, delivered a presentation at Northwestern University College of Health and Applied Sciences. The session focused on mental health, sexual reproductive health awareness, and the influence of peer pressure among students. The objective was to educate students on the importance of prioritizing their mental and sexual reproductive health while highlighting the impact of peer pressure on their decisions. Topics covered included: Awareness of mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. The significance of sexual reproductive health, including preventing sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies. How peer pressure influences students’ mental and sexual health decisions. Students were encouraged to prioritize their well-being and make informed choices, resisting the pressures of their peers. The presentation was well-received by the students and staff, with gratitude extended to the university for providing a platform for this important discussion. Aim-Higher Youth Cooperative believes that continued education and awareness on these issues are vital for fostering healthy behaviors and responsible decision-making among young people.
