Five business students from the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University were named John D. Beeghly Fellows for the 2025 spring semester: Kodi Kinsey, Tanishka Agnihotri, Jan Harter, Nathan Heinly and Moritz Bayer. The fellowship offers students a paid opportunity to work with the Ohio Small Business Development Center, Export Assistance Network and APEX Accelerator. Students engage in projects such as market research, financial modeling, business analysis and government contracting. The program equips students with valuable career experience, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market. We could not be more proud of our Guins! ?????? #KnowY

On Tuesday, March 4th, the 16th Annual JA TITAN Competition took place in Williamson Hall, where local high school students acted as CEOs of virtual cell phone companies. Working in teams, they made decisions on production, marketing, research and development, and corporate responsibility, while navigating real-world economic challenges. ?? Local business leaders provided guidance and networking opportunities throughout the event. Plus, all participating students received a $1,000 scholarship from the College of Business. A special thanks to the Taco Bell Foundation, William M. Neckerman Charitable Foundation, FactSet, and the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University for their support. ?? On February 23rd, the Youngstown State University Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma in the Williamson College of Business Administration, installed 67 business students during induction ceremonies. Beta Gamma Sigma is the world’s premier business honorary society, reserved exclusively for schools accredited by AACSB International ? the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The inducted students include 13 sophomores, 16 juniors, nine seniors, and 22 graduate students. In addition to the students, seven faculty members were inducted. This year represented the 26th induction class for the Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter at Youngstown State University. It has now inducted 1,202 students. We would also like to congratulate Lauryn Todd, daughter, and Beth Todd, mother, who both were inducted, both of whom are obtaining a MBA in Organizational Leadership. More than one thousand junior and senior high school students from Mahoning, Trumbull, Ashtabula, Columbiana counties traveled to the Girard Expo Center on Wednesday for the Junior Achievement of Eastern Ohio's Inspire event. WCBA faculty attended the event and reached out to prospective high school students. ?? ?? Meet Trinity Miller, a senior at Youngstown State University who’s set to graduate a year early with double majors in accounting and finance! ?? Her time at YSU has been filled with growth, from earning certifications in Excel and global business through X-Culture to leading the Economics Club and volunteering with organizations like Habitat for Humanity. As president of the Economics Club, she’s gained valuable networking opportunities that helped her secure internships with top companies like Ernst & Young and the FDIC. Trinity's career journey began at just 18 when she interned at NASA’s Glenn Research Center. Now, she’s set to continue with the FDIC, where she’ll work her way up to become a commissioned bank examiner. Her advice to fellow students?
