We are implementing a new program to educate young adults between the ages of 25 and 40 on leadership skills and how to contribute to the community while working on establishing their careers and family. The purpose is to develop leaders for tomorrow. It is designed for individuals between the ages of 25 and 40. This is the age in which the NAACP looses many of its young members. We know that individuals in this age group are focused on their careers and raising a family and feel that they don’t have the time to be involved in civil rights work. The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
