How do employer practices shape job quality and outcomes for workers and businesses? A new WorkRise report, funded by B Lab, compares certified B Corporations—firms committed to social and environmental goals—with similar non-B Corps. The findings highlight that B Corps are more likely to offer benefits like parental leave, health insurance, and flexible scheduling. However, when accounting for these practices, firm outcomes such as job growth and revenue are similar between B Corps and their peers. These insights provide valuable lessons for employers, policymakers, and stakeholders working to improve job quality across the labor market.
