Taking a deep dive into the mill operation, we can see here in this video the NZ Oregon getting placed onto the log deck. From there, going through the band saw, and then onto the edger to create 250m x 50m and 150m x 50m timber for a farm shed. This video shows you the tedious process that our timber goes through to ensure that the end product will last you for the longest time possible. ? Today we are showcasing what our new Wood-Mizer saw is capable of doing. Commissioned last year, and as the first outside of South Africa in the Southern Hemisphere—in this video we have our Wood-Mizer WB2000 in action, taking a raw macrocarpa sawlog and cutting it into landscaping timber right ready for our customers to use. This new Wood-Mizer plant and technology has meant we have been able to increase our production whilst ensuring the quality of our timber is second to none. Wood-Mizer industrial products are heavy-duty solutions for high-throughput sawmill applications.?? They are designed to operate as standalone units that can be used in existing saw lines or form an entire line that can be customized and are being used in a new sawmill in Arizona?? The mill has two Wood-Mizer TV6000 units that feature heavy duty, automated infeed and outfeed systems. It can handle small to medium diameter logs with a maximum length of nearly 22 feet. The twin band mills achieve equal open face cutting using a fast, accurate log loading system coupled with pressurized hold-down rollers and a sharp feed chain. The mill is currently taking cut-to-length 16-foot logs, so no log merchandiser is needed.
