With 2,000 students in attendance, they had the opportunity to connect with the next generation of construction professionals, offering guidance on interviewing skills and sharing the many career paths in our industry! We’re excited to highlight Sydney Durham, Administrative Assistant at Performance Equipment Service, as one of our March Members of the Month! With seven years in the road construction industry, Sydney wears many hats across multiple departments. From managing certified payroll for TxDOT projects to handling accounts payable and supporting field crews, she plays a crucial role in keeping operations running smoothly. Sydney loves the variety in her work and the opportunity to help others tackle challenges. "Every interaction is different, which keeps things interesting and allows me to continuously learn and grow. As an active Women of Asphalt member, Kendall values the mentorship, networking, and service opportunities that come with being part of this incredible group. She’s dedicated to encouraging more women to step into the construction industry and knows firsthand how strong and supportive this community can be. With over a decade in the asphalt industry, Zineb has built an impressive career specializing in asphalt product development, quality control, and technical innovation. In her role, she formulates and analyzes Performance Grade asphalt, Emulsions, Cutbacks, and bitumen-based products while collaborating with state DOTs, university researchers, and cross-functional teams. Zineb’s work allows her to push the boundaries of asphalt technology while maintaining the highest quality standards. She thrives in an environment that encourages creativity and innovation, recently earning her Master’s degree in 2023. Beyond professional achievements, she embraces the challenge of balancing her career with a new chapter, becoming a mom in July 2024! When Zineb first entered the industry, she was often one of the few women in the room. She joined Women of Asphalt to help change that. Driven by a passion for inclusivity and mentorship, she is committed to creating a stronger industry.
