Applications for our 1L Life Sciences Summit are now open! The summit will bring together law students from across the country with interest and/or experience in the life sciences and introduce students to the firm’s diversity of life sciences practice areas to help them explore how they can leverage their life sciences backgrounds and interests in their future legal careers. The event will be held all-day Friday, January 31, 2025, in San Diego, California. During the summit, you'll have the opportunity to meet attorneys from our different life sciences practice areas, hear from our clients and lawyers about their different career paths in the industry, see what each of these life sciences practice areas entail, and network with attorneys and students who share an affinity for the life sciences! This program is open to first-year law students who are in the JD graduating class of 2027 at an ABA-accredited law school. Pre-law students with life sciences backgrounds who have been admitted to ABA-accredited law schools will also be considered. Applications close on January 3, 2025 – apply today! Recently, we wrapped up our participation in?The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS’s) Light the Night Walk Campaign. Through October to early November, teams from our New York, Seattle, Austin, Los Angeles, Century City, San Diego, and San Francisco offices participated in local events to support fundraising efforts for?advancing research, finding cures, and ensuring access to treatments for all blood cancer patients. Additionally, teams walked and fundraised in honor of Don Bradley, Wilson Sonsini’s former chief legal officer, whom we lost earlier this year.?? ? Through the generosity of our employees—and their families and friends—the success of our auction—and contributions from the Wilson Sonsini Foundation, the firm raised around $74,000 to support this important cause.? ? This associate will have experience with mergers and in both the substantive and process portions of EU and UK merger control and should be able to manage a merger review including leading a team of associates.
