The Southern California life sciences community is a hotbed of innovation and scientific expertise. The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and investors are gaining momentum. The WIB-Southern California Chapter is pleased to prepare an agenda for the purpose of inspiring women in our industry. We welcome support and participation from men and women alike, and look forward to presentations from the most successful and influential leaders in our community. Recent reports state Southern California is now the second largest biotech hub in the country. This is exciting news for the women in our community! New opportunities are on the horizon and the launch of WIB-Southern California Chapter couldn’t be more timely. We will provide professional development programs, mentorship, networking and relationship building opportunities to women at all stages of their career. We invite you to join our journey with our chapter as we unite and pave the road to success.

This Women’s History Month we are shining a spotlight on Gloria C. Lin, Ph.D. and Linda Strause, PhD, two of the founders of the San Diego chapter of Women in Bio. This year’s WHM theme, “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations”, perfectly reflects their impactful work in building a supportive space for women in the life sciences in San Diego. Through mentorship, advocacy, and community building, they have not only uplifted their peers but also inspired future generations of girls in STEM.
