Our region’s natural resources are integral to filling the Thanksgiving tables of families in California and beyond. ?????? Working lands have always served as a strong backbone for our local economy. Our goal is to continue to support the industry and our communities by attracting further investments and creating more pathways to achieve economic mobility.

After 1.5 years of research, planning, and community engagement, we’re excited to share our regional economic plan with you all! ?? ???Join us on November 21st for a virtual meeting, where you’ll hear from #WeProsperTogether leaders about what this plan means for our region today and for generations to come.

Industry sectors that sell goods and services outside the #CapitalRegion present our greatest opportunities for strengthening our local economy.? Why? Because these “tradable sectors” drive growth within their industries as well as local-serving industries, such as healthcare and construction. For every job created in a tradable sector, nearly two additional jobs are generated in the broader economy, fostering stronger and more sustainable economic growth.
