Ukraine is under a huge combined attack now. russian missiles and drones are currently attempting to destroy Ukraine's energy system, aiming to leave us in cold & darkness this winter. With North Korean troops now invading Ukraine, this should serve as a kind alarm bell reminder for Europe of what is truly at stake. UPD: War_monitor_ua summarized today's attack. russia used: - cruise missiles Kh-101/55; - cruise missiles Kalibr; - Iskander ballistic missiles; - aerial cruise missiles Kh-59/69; - attack drones Shahed, Herber and decoys. The main target was Ukraine's energy system, and geographically Western regions, Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolayiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia and others. There were two waves of missile attacks totaling to 2h41, and 9h37 of the drone raid. Power outages are reported in different towns, more info to come.

'I don't want our children to see what we have to see now; I don't want our children to replace us. Our children shouldn't fight, our children shouldn't breathe gunpowder', writes the Ukrainian defender Vitsyk, gently holding his nephew during a short reunion with his family. Our defenders are fighting for a future where no child will have to hear the air raid alert daily and hide in shelters from deadly Russian missiles and bombs. Photos: vitsikkkk / Instagram

Petrik, a 36-year-old Swedish volunteer, was killed in battle against Russian forces. A former member of the Swedish Armed Forces with two tours in Afghanistan, Petrik joined Ukraine’s International Brigade just three weeks after Russia’s full-scale invasion began on 24 February 2022. His skills as an engineer and mine-clearing expert made him an invaluable asset to Ukrainian forces. Petrik’s father, Thor, told Swedish broadcaster P4 that his son felt a deep moral obligation to help. “He thought it was very important to stop Russia. He told me, ‘This is not right. I have combat experience, and I can do something.’” After joining the International Legion, Petrik was later transferred to Ukraine’s Intelligence Service, where he fought on the frontlines, cleared mines, and worked with explosives. Despite a serious leg injury sustained in the Kharkiv battle, he returned to the front in eastern Ukraine, even though walking was difficult. A Swedish ground coordinator in Ukraine described Petrik as upbeat and dedicated. “He could have taken a desk job in Kyiv, but he knew there was no one else in our unit to deactivate mines. Despite great odds and lack of ammunition, he always had a smile. He was completely committed to freedom, human rights, and Ukraine’s survival as a free nation.” Petrik’s comrades remember him as a courageous soldier whose impact will not be forgotten. “He made a major difference. He believed Ukraine was important for Europe, and we will never forget him,” said one of his fellow fighters. Photo: Visegrad X

???A young German girl, a combat medic of the Carpathian Sich battalion, Diana Wagner, was killed in the battles with the Russian occupiers. "She did not hesitate to rush to the rescue of wounded soldiers in the hottest spots of the frontline. Absolute dedication to the cause, German organisation, focus in actions and speed of decision-making" - this is how friends describe Diana. "Diana did not intersect with the media space of Ukraine. She was loved and appreciated in Ukraine exclusively by her friends, comrades-in-arms and volunteers. She did her job at the front without a hint of posturing or PR on social media. Such people are honest with themselves, their friends and look into the eyes of God at the end of their earthly journey," her comrades-in-arms wrote about Diana.

His name was Vitaliy. He was my Godson. He was 19. He was a soldier. He is going to return to his parents’ home today. On his shield. He gave his life for Ukraine. Why? Because people like me do not have [testicles] to go and fight. So this young boy went. To defend his future. He did not have to go. He volunteered. He never married. He never fathered a child. He will always remain 19. If you are a muscovy (russian) supporter, this boy’s blood is on your hands. If you are a russian, who consider oneself outside the politic (vnepalitiki/nievsiotakadnaznachna), this boy’s blood is on your hands. If you speak that bloody russian language, remember that your [defecating in a briefcase] dictator killed this boy to “protect” you. I have never asked anyone to share my posts, but I would kindly ask you to share this one. Even if I do not deserve it. Vitaliy does. Слава Укра?н?! Назавжди в строю!

???Why is ru*sian still widely spoken by Ukrainians and other people from post-Soviet countries? Although the formal party position was predicated on internationalism and the creation of a "pan-Soviet" citizen, #Stalin shared the views of ru*sian nationalists and heavily prioritized the interests of ethnic ru*sians. ??Ru*sification-the process of forced assimilation, name changes, language bans, and terror campaigns-was a foundational and ever-present practice imposed upon all the countries under ru*sian occupation. Ru*sian was the #official language of the Soviet Union and the #only language of operation in all major academic, scientific, and cultural institutions. While nearly all Soviet citizens learned ru*sian from a young age, ethnic ru*sians who relocated to other republics rarely learned the local languages. ????In Sakartvelo, when rus*ian was declared the official language, all textbooks and dissertations written in Georgian were banned and it was forbidden to defend a PhD dissertation not written in ru*sian. Non-ru*sian Soviet citizens wishing to participate in, and contribute to, public life were forced into colonial linguistic and cultural assimilation. ????????????In the Baltic countries, Estonians, Latvians, and Lithuanians had #no choice but to receive all government services in the occupiers' language- ru*sian. In many regions in the Baltics, the local populations were pushed out by mass #deportations and the Soviet Union's settlement of ethnic ru*sians; by 1989, Latvians represented only ??52% of Latvia's population-ethnic Latvians became #minorities in Riga and six other cities. ????Similar patterns of populating ethnic russians to replace k*lled or deported local communities were especially prevalent in Qazaqstan after the 1930-33 man-made famine that killed 2.3 million Qazaqs and in ????, after the 1932-33 man-made famine Holodomor that killed approximately 5 #million Ukrainians. ????Traditionally Ukrainian (and many other non-ru*sian) last names were altered with ov/ova and ev/eva suffixes, folk traditions such as Malanka were outlawed, the Ukrainian language was #banned more than 60 times tracing back to the ru*sian empire and reduced to so-called "village speak," and Ukrainian-speaking creatives and intellectuals were k*lled during the Executed Renaissance. In 1926, Ukrainians comprised 21% of the Soviet Union and were the #largest ethnic population. It comes as no surprise that Moscow's brutal policies of the 1920s and 30s targeted Ukrainian identity with particular force. Under Soviet occupation, Ukraine became one of the most #russified republics, in part because rus*ians viewed (and continue to view) Ukraine as nothing more than an extension of ru*sia . Посада Head of Department, Rakhiv Town Council // volunteer & fundraiser NGO Volunteers of Rakhiv District

Yesterday, our volunteer group received this video from local fighters who are currently holding the front in the Zaporizhzhya sector. Fortunately, this incident had a happy ending, but not all episodes are like this.... What seems like a scary situation to us is the daily reality of Ukrainian Heroes. By sharing such content, I do not aim to reveal any military secrets (as one of my contacts recently tried to accuse me of) or to gain as many reactions or followers as possible. I do this because our military want to be seen and heard! The enemy already has enough information about them, without posts on LinkedIn or Facebook. But does the general public, especially foreign supporters, have enough information to get an idea of the REAL WAR AS IT IS, without embellishments? And pardon us for the rude lexics - I don't think they have any mood to control their words there... Not so long ago, they were just ordinary guys living ordinary lives like any of you. Overnight, on February 24, 2022, the realities of Ukrainians changed beyond recognition... It was an enemy drone that flew into the dugout, targeting our defenders. That is why we are constantly raising funds for electronic warfare to shield the guys as much as we can. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my friends at Linkedin once again for the recently purchased drone jammer for the 110th Brigade! We were able to do this thanks to your help. And, of course, in this war of drones, the advantage is gained by those who have more FPVs. The more drones our guys have got, the more chances they have to destroy enemy positions and conduct high-quality reconnaissance on the ground to avoid such critical situations. Your donations to the project of our NGO Volunteers of Rakhiv District “Hutsul Falcons” to produce FPV drones is a contribution to our victory and saved lives of our military: MONOBANK account/link to the jar for drone production: 5375411211392084 https://lnkd.in/dZWQBX7M PayPal: Ivan Berdar, NGO leader - [email protected] or [email protected] #SupportUkraine #StandWithUkraine #slavaUkraini #volunteers #donors #thankyou #teamwork #military #aid #logistics #donors #support #drones #electronic #warfare #LinkedIn #connections #contacts #network #safety
