These trials took place in Southern Brazil, on a highway that crosses a diverse and rugged landscape which often suffers from cellular black spots ???? The European Space Agency - ESA and Mobile Satellite Services Association (MSSA) have forged a strategic alliance to advance the future of 5G and 6G open architecture, standards-based satellite Non Terrestrial Networks (NTNs), creating new ways to meet the connectivity needs of consumers by integrating satellite and terrestrial networks for Direct-to-Device (D2D) services. Viasat, as a founding member of MSSA, signed the agreement on behalf of MSSA today at MWC Barcelona. This new alliance signals a commitment to growing European technology engagement for space and ground infrastructure operations and adds momentum to MSSA’s remit to ensuring robust connectivity for all while maintaining the integrity, security, and sovereignty of national telecommunications networks globally.
