The Consulting and Business Development Center accelerates student careers and grows businesses and jobs in communities where they are needed the most. Through the center’s programs, students build skills and gain experience in consulting and solving business challenges. The students provide valuable consulting to small businesses and non-profit organizations in under-served communities. Business owners and non-profit leaders gain access to business education that creates jobs and changes lives. Combining academic rigor with business relevance our student consulting and business education programs we produce bottom-line results for minority-, women-, LGBT- and other “diverse”-owned businesses and businesses in lower income communities. The Center’s nonprofit programs engage MBA students in real-world learning that prepares them to serve on nonprofit boards while contributing to improving board performance. Founded in 1995, the Center has generated more than $200 million in new revenue created and retained 200,000 jobs.

Hi Huskies! Registration for Winter Quarter has begun and as you’re registering for the upcoming quarter’s classes, check out MKTG/MGMT 445 which is only offered during the Winter Quarter!? ? In case you missed our information session, this class provides real-world consulting opportunities with local businesses around the Pacific Northwest. It is an amazing opportunity to try out consulting if you have been interested in it, and the best part is that it doesn’t require any prior experience. There are also potential scholarship opportunities and taking this class will make you eligible for other internship opportunities at the Consulting and Business Development Center!? To sign up for this class, students must have completed either MKTG 301 or MKTG 305 and then you can simply register for MKTG 445 or MGMT 445 (it is a jointly offered class). If you are a marketing major, we highly suggest taking MKTG 445 since it will fulfill one of your elective requirements. As soon as you are enrolled in one of the two classes, you are automatically in the program!
