My soul mate, my pillar and partner, my beloved, Jeffrey S. Tolk , who will have my heart, my laughter, and my tears forever, left this world on February 5, 2025. He was doing what he loved, climbing a mountain (Cotopaxi, Ecuador). Viewing and funeral details are attached. In 2018, I came to UVU as the university’s seventh and first female president. I inherited a strong and growing institution, built by many others before me. Today, at my 7th State of the University, the UVU community and our many supporters celebrated the ongoing achievements of our students, staff, and faculty. We believe in care, hard work, and ambition. At UVU, we continue to have big dreams. The future looks bright!

Florence B. Ragan and her daughter, JoAnn Losee, are forces of nature. Today, UVU honored the Losee family with the unveiling of Florence’s portrait just outside the Ragan Theater on campus. ?Florence served on the UVU Foundation Board, was awarded an honorary degree, and established the Florence B. Ragan Endowment Scholarship Fund. The time and resources she and her family have gifted to UVU have impacted countless students!

Have you seen the new UCCU soccer stadium RISING on the west side of campus? This stadium will debut this fall, just in time for our men’s and WAC champion women’s soccer teams to take the field. We’re grateful to our UCCU partners for providing our student-athletes and fans with a stadium that will be one of the VERY BEST in the nation. GO, WOLVERINES!

The first two days of the Silicon Slopes Summit at Utah Valley University educated and inspired attendees to dream and build! Many of our students, faculty, and staff took advantage of the opportunity to learn from entrepreneurs and leaders in our community and beyond.
