I’ve had a few days to reflect on the amazing 3 day residency program at University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business! As I reflect, one saying sums it up: “Surround yourself with people that reflect who you want to be and how you want to feel, energies are contagious.” I am so blessed and excited to be apart of this great, motivated group of individuals and I cannot wait to get started! #universityofutah #utahmba #mbaprogram #mbastudent #utahbusiness #classof2026

Program and Project Manager specializing in Change Management, Strategic Alliances, Profit Planning, and Process Improvement | Servant Leader | MBA-MSIS, GCBA
With much gratitude, I have earned my MBA, Master of Information Systems (MSIS), and Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics (GCBA) from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business. Through my MBA, I worked to advance my ability to lead innovation, maximize my people's potential, and intentionally engage the strength of ethics and diversity. Prof. Schaefer’s course helped me frame practical contributions on the Murray Diversity & Inclusion Task Force. Prof. Davis’ value creation lens transformed how I engage stakeholders. Dr. Canas’ and Dr. Georgi's work helped me articulate difficult messages about the cost of business. Prof. Cadman’s lessons informed solutions for better pricing and financial health when implementing flagship products. Prof. Glen’s lessons pivoted a screening call into a consultation that delighted a Fortune 500 customer. Dr. Abe’s insights helped me authentically problem-solve and deliver value, challenges notwithstanding. TA-ing for Prof. Boam yielded invaluable perspective on creating competitive advantage through people and in global markets. As a tech servant leader, concurrently pursuing my MSIS and GCBA made sense. Profs. Boyle and Beiene made databases and programming accessible. Dr. Dansie demystified cybersecurity. Prof. Norwood had us pitch an end-to-end infrastructure solution. Profs. Stanford, Webb, Chatterjee, and Pecsok ignited our machine learning potential. Dr. Sue and Dr. Vandana helped us navigate statistics, big data, and systems design. Taylor Bench and Michael Shaw empowered Brooke and me to build value through machine learning in the real world. My experience was enriched and supported by my classmates; U leaders and advisors, including Gillian, Rachel, Sophie, Kirdy, Brittany, Amaya, Chandler, Denise, Darrin, and Cathy Brown; and my family, friends, and mentors, including Stephanie and Joan; Sandhya, Amit, and Jocelyn. This joyful experience was more than academic; it was critical to a deeply personal rebuilding of my identity as a mother, advocate, and professional. To excel, I had to embrace my disability and my adaptations—remote work, wheelchair, reclining workstation, touchscreens—small changes that radically boosted my ability to create value. To thrive without burning out, I built emotional awareness, boundaries, and resilience. I learned to accept help—a skill often overlooked by high-achieving leaders. I refined my prioritization and time management. Remarkably, this yielded 4 dedicated hours each evening to connect, laugh, read, and play with my daughters—time I never had before. One of my Exec VPs said it best: “You achieve more than most able-bodied folks and do it so well. I never considered disability opening up potential that way.” All I did was be authentic. Through these 2.5 years of growth and resilience, I have created space for my next chapter. I am open to work. As I show up to interviews, I am energized, ready to create immense value and a powerful impact.

Engineering Coordinator | 10 Years Chemical Production Experience | MBA Candidate University of Utah
?? Reflecting on my MBA residency experience I recently completed an incredible residency as part of my MBA program at the University of Utah, and I’m still buzzing with energy from the experience. Over the past few days, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a diverse learning environment, connect with inspiring peers, and gain invaluable insights from industry experts. The residency was more than just an academic milestone—it was a journey of growth, collaboration, and innovation. I walked away with not only new knowledge but also a stronger sense of purpose and a clearer vision for my future career. The intense discussions, hands-on projects, and real-world case studies truly challenged me to think critically and push my boundaries. I’m incredibly grateful to my professors, mentors, and fellow students who made this experience so impactful. Their diverse perspectives and unwavering support have fueled my passion for driving positive change in the business world. Looking forward to applying these learnings in my professional journey and continuing to grow alongside this amazing network. The future is bright, and I’m excited to see where it takes us all!
