Meet Estefana Gomez Mar, who recently graduated with a double major in Business Administration Management and Marketing from UTA’s College of Business. She also completed an internship as a Sales Intern at Bimbo Bakeries USA. During her internship, Estefana took on key responsibilities, including assisting with sales operations, analyzing market trends, and supporting Market Sales Leaders in achieving their goals. One of her standout projects involved introducing Takis to Family Dollar stores. She coordinated logistics, monitored sales performance, and provided strategic insights to aid potential expansion. In addition to this, Estefana played an instrumental role in introducing EZ shelves to business partners. These shelves improved product organization and streamlined distribution. Estefana collaborated closely with market sales leaders to communicate the benefits of the shelves, provide feedback on implementation, and assist in training partners to use them effectively. Seeing the positive impact of her work on daily operations strengthened her connection to the brand. Estefana’s internship solidified her passion for sales and marketing. She plans to pursue a career in the field and aims to continue building expertise in strategic planning, data analysis, and customer relationship management. "I would highly encourage other UTA students to pursue internships," Estefana shares. "It’s a great way to gain practical experience and clarity about your career path. Internships help you step out of your comfort zone, immerse yourself in a professional environment, and foster personal and professional growth." Reflecting on her experience, Estefana added, “I wish I had known how important networking is. While focusing on my tasks, I didn’t realize how valuable building relationships could be for my growth and future opportunities.” Congratulations, Estefana!
