So much to take in from today’s UST Education Spring Symposium. We heard from Cameron Aubuchon, Jamie Notter, AAiP, Marcus Leite, and Joanna Pineda, all who dove deep into how associations can embrace, conquer, and challenge disruption in our industry. The sessions were absolutely packed with valuable insights, covering everything from leveraging data for member engagement to shaping the culture needed for disruptive change. Key takeaways: ?? Data isn’t a static thing. Your members are moving all over the place whether it’s an employer, a new email or a whole new industry. You must Ask, Capture, and Act on data so that you can have insight into your audience—allowing you to get personal. ?? Technology is uncertain, but your organizations culture can adapt. Embrace the culture of change and don’t fear failing. Risk and experiments have to be made in order for your organization to innovate. ?? Associations are competing with the internet when it comes to attention, so how do you stand out? By using your members and suppliers. You have subject matter experts at your fingertips, so use them to your advantage. Give your industry the first-hand knowledge of what’s going on through content—but content that your industry can’t find anywhere else. ?? We need to think of AI as companions and bring it in house or else we’re going to fall behind. Don’t be afraid of it, have open discussions, train it to our own unique models, and champion it within our industry. AI is here to stay and it’s only getting smarter by the day (or should I say minute?). ?? Mark Lowry has your back with Higher Logic branded blankets when the room gets too cold. ?? Honored to be part of today’s US Transactions Corporation (UST) Symposium. I’ll be speaking on the topic of the human element of AI adoption.
