Techstars, the most active pre-seed investor in the world, and the University of Southern California (USC) are launching the USC and Techstars Digital Economy Program to cultivate an entrepreneurial ecosystem that supports startups and inspires entrepreneurship within the vibrant USC community. The program represents a collective effort to cultivate, engage, and enhance the innovation ecosystem at USC. Through the program with Techstars, the university’s network of students, alumni, and faculty will access opportunities such as entrepreneurial-focused events, training, and programming that create a pathway for early-stage and aspiring founders to progress on their entrepreneurial journey. The USC and Techstars Digital Economy Program includes: - Startup Weekend: a three-day event designed to ignite ideas and build startup communities - Ecosystem Development Lab: a training program for community leaders to strengthen the foundation of their entrepreneurial ecosystem - University Catalyst: a 10-week, pre-accelerator program for idea and early-stage startups - Digital Economy Accelerator: a 13-week, intensive program designed for startups to scale their vision into thriving businesses

We had the pleasure to work with aspiring and early-stage USC faculty and staff founders today at the USC and Techstars IP Momentum Bootcamp event. In partnership with USC Research and Innovation, we provided these innovative thinkers with content around commercializing their IP. Thank you to the speakers that shared their insight and expertise: Ralph Lin discussed IP Strategy, Alexandra Dworsky shared How to Build a Team, and Gabriel Schlumberger & Jason Tahir spoke to Sources of Funding. We can’t wait for Day 2 to hear from Ahmed A. Mirza on Storytelling and Customer Discovery as well as Gerald Loeb’s Founder Story!
