Shift: Grave 10:00pm to 6:30am $35.00-$49.00 an hour, with a $3000.00 sign on bonus! The Maintenance Technician III will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing advanced repairs on equipment, focusing on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems. This role includes conducting preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime and contributing to continuous improvement projects to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities: ??Perform preventative maintenance on a large variety of machines and equipment ??Advanced troubleshooting with machine issues on down-calls and repair equipment per machine schematics whether mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic machines and presses ??Respond to work orders to improve production capacity or flow and minimize waste ???Perform machine moves for existing and new machines depending on demand ?? Design and perform upgrades on machines with teams ??Train others to maintenance responsibilities as needed; direct and train production employees in Total Production Maintenance (TMP) efforts ?? Follow LOTO procedures and use a multimeter in troubleshooting and diagnosing problems. Minimum Qualifications: ?? Completion of higher education degree or certificate(s) in Maintenance related fields i.e. AET, Automation Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, etc. and/or 15+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical repair of industrial machines ?? High school diploma/GED is required ?? Valid Driver’s License ?? Immigration sponsorship not available for this role ?? Understand mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics and utilize when performing maintenance repairs ?? We love our High School Interns at US Synthetic!

I had the opportunity to go on a humanitarian mission trip to Kenya Africa with a group of co-workers from US Synthetic, a ChampionX company, this month. This was in collaboration with one of our customers, Ulterra Drilling Technologies L.P., where we both partner together by providing our diamond drill bit technology with WHOlivesorg, an organization dedicated to providing clean water, health & opportunity in Africa and other parts of the world. We spent time drilling water wells for a village, school, and a hospital using a human powered merry-go-round The Village Drill machine. We also got to use the new and improved Village Drill Hybrid – powered by electricity. It was amazing to see the impact and difference that clean water can have in people’s lives. It was heartwarming to feel the welcoming spirit and kindness given to us from the beautiful people of Kenya. I have a special place in my heart for my sisters and brothers in Kenya.

Our US Synthetic team had a great time this week partnering with Junior Achievement of Utah hosting a 2-day summer camp at the Spencer F. Eccles JA City in the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City. Local kids participated in our problem solving challenge activities along with bringing the JA City facility to life as they operated banks, managed restaurants, voted for JA City Mayor, developed working budgets and managed their businesses and personal finances. The JA City experience helps youth build skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, creativity, communication and teamwork. Many thanks to our employees and JA staff that helped make this a fun and successful learning experience. Looking forward to the next summer camp at the new Woodbury Corporation JA City in the Orem University Place Mall on July 30-31, 2024.
