Last Friday marked a significant milestone as Pacific's Career Services hosted the inaugural Shuttle to Shadow Program Reception. I'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 50 individuals that attended, including, healthcare professionals, faculty, administration, and the current and past Shuttle to Shadow cohorts. Your presence made the evening unforgettable and highlighted the incredible community we have built together. During the event, our Director of Career Services (Bailey Gutierrez) & Associate Director for Pre-Health (Teresa R. Martinez), Assistant Director (Somarly H.) and I had the privilege of sharing the journey of the Shuttle to Shadow program and its transformation into the Empowering Pacific Pre-Health through Shadowing Program (EPPS). Teresa's initial discovery of the barriers that Pre-Health students are faced with has blossomed into a permanent program, spearheaded by Career Services, with a renewed mission to enrich professionals, bolster our community, and ultimately, empower our Pacific students. As we look ahead, we are absolutely thrilled about the future of the EPPS program. Together, we will pave the way for Pre-Health students to acquire invaluable real-world insights and experiences, laying the foundation for their prosperous healthcare careers.
