Today was a happy moment seeing HSC students learning in the Regional Simulation Center Annex. This center took less than 10 weeks to open. The building was a former surgery center which worked great for creation of a 10-bed skills bay, 30-seat classroom, 4 simulation rooms, 2 control rooms, and lots of prep and storage areas. BIG thanks to HSC facilities, central receiving, facilities maintenance, Kassi Tate, RID, NCIDQ, IIDA, Jimmy Gresham, LEED GA, Johnny McElroy, Seth Willmoth. What great partners to work with!! Another big thanks to the sim team who helped make this happen while keeping another busy center running without missing a beat. Great job Joshua Christian, Juan C. Sanchez Duarte, MHA, CAPM, Jacob Miller, Stephanie Etter, Billie Paschal, MS-HPEd, BAAS, CHSOS, Lee Ann Cunningham, Jeff Beeson DO, FAEMS, Karen Melton Coleman.

Happy Friday! ?? After a week focused on OSCEs, many of our future pharmacists at UNTHSC College of Pharmacy are surely looking forward to the weekend. Here's a quick look at some highlights from the week: ◆P1 Student Logan Temple during the High Stakes Physical Assessment OSCE on Thursday, ensuring he "dotted all the i's and crossed all the t's" while working with his patient and grader. ???? ◆P1 Student Hang Ly with her patient and Dr. Fix, her grader for the High Stakes Physical Assessment OSCE. Hang did a fantastic job making her patient feel at ease and demonstrating professionalism throughout the entire session. ???? ◆Dr. Megan Wesling caught up with OSCE graders Abby Lodrigues (P4), Hao-Xin Liu (P4), and April Peterson (Medical City Arlington) after a productive day of OSCEs at the UNT Health Science Center Regional Simulation Center on Thursday evening. ???? ◆Elizabeth Brownen and our 'furmacy' student, Rock, found a cozy corner to study before tackling OSCEs on Friday morning. ???? Wishing everyone a relaxing and restful weekend ahead! #UNTHSC #HSCCollegeofPharmacy #HSCProud #HSCSimCenter #OSCEs #PharmacySchool #TexasPharmacySchool

We’re so thankful for all veterans and especially this one, our own Stephanie Etter who works as a Program Manager for our Standardized Patient program. Her hard work and giving spirit is so very appreciated.
This Veterans Day, the UNTHSC Regional Simulation Center thanks all who have served, especially our own Stephanie Etter. Stephanie joined the Army in 2011 as a medic, later reclassing as a respiratory therapist. She served at Fort Campbell, KY; Fort Sam Houston, TX; and Landstuhl, Germany, before transitioning to civilian life in 2018. Today, she brings her dedication and expertise to our team, helping us train the next generation of healthcare professionals. ???? Thank you, Stephanie, and all #veterans, for your #service and #sacrifice. ??? #VeteransDay #HSCSimulationCenter #Gratitude #ThankYouVeterans
