Yesterday, I had the pleasure of being part of the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Supplier Diversity Summit, hosted by Mayor Karen Bass and sponsored by AEG & BMO Entrepreneurship is close to my heart, and we covered essential themes for creating more opportunities for diverse entrepreneurs—ranging from access to mentorship and capital, to expanding networks and enhancing procurement processes. These are the building blocks of a more inclusive business community. But one often overlooked area is better payment terms! We can’t expect to diversify suppliers while offering 90+ or even 180-day payment terms, which can make it nearly impossible for small businesses to grow or even survive. At Univision Los Angeles, we're committed to doing our part by building on our SMB platform POSiBLE SoCal and connecting entrepreneurs to the information and resources they need to thrive.
