Yesterday at #FallMeeting, Rosalynn Hughey, Deputy City Manager of San José, shared insights at the Homeless to Housed (H2H): Showcase of Innovation, highlighting ULI SF's work with the City for the H2H Initiative! As part of the inaugural cohort, five ULI District Councils provided technical assistance focused on real estate solutions to address housing challenges for individuals experiencing homelessness. In San José, ULI SF developed actionable strategies to create affordable housing on underutilized land owned by faith-based organizations and nonprofits. Through two workshops, an expert team of consultants created a platform where faith institutions, homeless service providers, nonprofits, and developers could collaborate and explore innovative housing solutions. A report summarizing key takeaways from the workshops and implementable strategies for stakeholders is available here: https://lnkd.in/gQRAw6vB.. Thank you, Rosalynn, for sharing this important work! Special thanks to William Zeh Herbig, AICP, Elizabeth Van Horn, SV at Home, LISC Bay Area, David Baker, FAIA LEED AP, Joy Woo, FSMPS, CPSM, LEED AP, Lola Motley and all who contributed to making this initiative possible.
