We're excited to share that the ULI Chicago & DePaul Real Estate Center 2024 Mid-Year Sentiment Report has caught the attention of Crain's Chicago Business & WBEZ Chicago! Read more below. https://lnkd.in/gMnnYDQs
Danny Ecker wrote a story in Crain's Chicago Business that previewed the release of the 2024 Mid-Year Sentiment Report by The Real Estate Center at DePaul University and ULI Chicago. The story focused on how Chicago real estate professionals would spend $1 billion if they had it (but not on a stadium). That story caught the attention of WBEZ Chicago and ultimately became a story on the station (written by Daniel Tucker) and -- and a Rest program with Sasha-Ann Simons and Danny Ecker. Listen in ... and tell us how you'd invest $1 billion in Chicago if possible. This story would not have been possible without the creative collaboration of Reagan P. and some interesting responses from people like Quintin E. Primo III, Zeb McLaurin, Michael Reschke and many others.

Take a look at what the Red Flight of our Chicago Product Council program has been up to! https://lnkd.in/gBDpu3km
Our ULI Chicago #RedFlight Product Council had our third and final meeting of the year, with a program titled "Kinetic Energy: Culture, Quantum, and Investment on the South Side." Thank you so much to our brilliant speakers for showing us the enduring strengths and bright future of the South Side! Kim Patterson, Abby Abolt, Marquis Miller, and Kerry Kamsiuk of the Obama Foundation for a tour around the #ObamaPresidentialCenter campus, with spectacular views of the #architecture set into Jackson Park and previews of the #art installations and #community amenities; The masterminds behind the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park (#IQMP)--Kate Waimey Timmerman of Chicago Quantum Exchange, Kristi Dula-Ferguson at the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity, Kyle T. Schulz at World Business Chicago, Michael Pfeffer at Related Midwest, and Joe Procunier (plus Eli Lechter in absentia) at Lamar Johnson Collaborative--who told us the extraordinary story of how our State and City came out on top of this highly competitive site selection process and the wide-reaching impact that quantum will have on our #economy and our communities; Alex J. Sparhawk, Esq. and Andrew Stables at DL3 Realty for showing us how community-scale investment and #VentureDevelopment provide the strong neighborhood foundation that #Woodlawn residents deserve, with special features on their #ParkStationLofts (a partnership with The Michaels Organization) and #Revive63, transforming the Washington Park National Bank building into a commercial destination and neighborhood asset. Honorable mention to Brown Sugar Bakery for our delicious speaker gifts. :)
