Ulbrich of Austria GmbH, located in Müllendorf, Austria, is one of our newest facilities. Over the last decade the team transformed from a highly automated standard ribbon supplier to a specialist in niche crystalline technologies. With the introduction of power enhancing and special ribbon products they supply module fabs across the world, as well as high quality round and flat wire for various applications. Besides Solar this division develops and produces high-quality round and flat wire for various applications in Automotive and Electronics. Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products, located in Westminster, South Carolina, is equipped for rolling, drawing, annealing, straightening and precision winding of a variety of round, flat and square wire products. Our “focus factory” dedicates managers and engineers along with state-of-the-art equipment to produce and manage industry specific requirements. Ulbrich Shaped Wire, located in North Haven, CT, specializes in the manufacture of custom-made shapes and flats for a wide variety of industries. All tooling is custom manufactured in house by our advanced tooling center. We also offer metallurgical and engineering support for all customers. Ulbrich Shaped Wire supplies a wide range alloys including Nitinol which can be provided as a flat, coiled wire product that is not readily available in the market place.

On October 10th a group of volunteers from Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products participated in a “Build Day” with an organization called Sleep in Heavenly Peace. This organization was founded by two elementary school teachers who became aware that there are a lot of children within our county who don’t have a bed to sleep in. Every bed that is built is handcrafted and constructed by volunteers. The finished product consists of the bed frame, a mattress, and a bedding set. These beds are then delivered to the identified homes of those children in need of a bed. USWP did a sponsorship to build twenty beds! Our folks enjoyed a time of working together to give back to our community. Go team Ulbrich!
