Through our platform, we have worked to digitize, structure, and analyze decades of geological data, enhancing basin evolution modeling, petroleum system assessments, and play-based exploration strategies. The integration of regional tectonic frameworks has been particularly critical, enabling us to redefine exploration potential across diverse geological settings. Proposal: Sustainable Mineral Exploration in the Area of the Great Cacaro Dyke and Cerro Impacto by Victor Graterol The exploration of Cerro Impacto and the Great Cacaro Dyke presents a significant opportunity to implement a sustainable development approach to mining. With their rich mineral potential in Southern Venezuela's Guayana region, future investors could develop in a manner that ensures minimal environmental impact, responsible resource extraction, and long-term economic benefits. Adopting advanced geophysical methods for initial assessments allows for a low-impact exploration strategy, ensuring that only the most promising areas are targeted for future development. The Great Cacaro Dyke is unexplored mainly but holds high potential for economic mineralization, particularly for chromium, nickel, and platinum group metals (PGMs). Given its geological setting, composition, and estimated age, this dyke could be a significant target for future mineral exploration. For the last two weeks, we hosted Professor Victor Graterol at our Houston office. We thank our AVGeo Network for attending the different events we planned for Victor. It was an honor to have you participate in the sessions where we shared practical experiences integrating gravimetry, geology, and petroleum systems of the #LatinAmerica and the #Caribbean and its impact on petroleum #exploration and #development in the region. Professor Graterol's visit to Houston and The Cannon Community West allowed us to dive deeper into the value of #gravity interpretation in developing a new Deformable Plate Model to describe the Basin Evolution in the Caribbean and Atlantic Margin. This integration is made possible by collaboration between U3 Explore and Global Tectonics. At age 85, Professor Victor Graterol continues to inspire generations of geoscientists with his dedication to geophysics, actively collaborating with U3 Explore. A pioneer in the field, he founded the #Geophysical Engineering program at Universidad Simón Bolívar, Caracas, #Venezuela, in the 1990s, shaping the future of countless professionals. For many of us, field trips to the Bolívar and Amazon regions remain unforgettable experiences, where we conducted gravimetry and potential field geophysical surveys under his guidance. His relentless effort to secure the best equipment, software, and training for his students showcased his deep commitment to education and excellence. Through his leadership, perseverance, and passion, he has left an indelible mark on the geoscience community, inspiring his students and colleagues.
