Unique setup to tackle a bridge scan / inspection. #RealityCapture #Transportation #Infrastructure
Der #TrimbleX9 Laserscanner ist ein echter Allrounder! ?? ????? Welches Projekt würdest du damit angehen? ?? #Eiffage #Trimble #Laserscanning #3D #Pointcloud #Survey

Webinar: Smarter infrastructure inspections Combining mobile mapping and GPR March 18, 9:00 AM MDT As road networks evolve, smarter inspection methods become increasingly important. Mobile mapping systems capture high-accuracy #RealityCapture data, including point clouds and high-resolution imagery of ground and above-ground conditions. Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) systems provide a critical view beneath the surface, revealing hidden conditions essential for road infrastructure maintenance. Combining Mobile Mapping with GPR systems creates a comprehensive 3D digital twin of both above- and below-ground assets. Join our webinar to explore how KONTUR’s GPR systems and Trimble MX90 Mobile Mapping enhance your road inspections. Real-world examples will be presented and discussed. In surveying, even the smallest adjustments can have a massive impact. Accuracy isn’t just a goal—it’s a necessity.
One of the most challenging yet unforgettable nights was when we worked until midnight, adjusting control points from the LO system to a local system to ensure a true 1:1 scale. The initial survey setup used the LO system, meaning all measurements were distorted—yet construction had already begun. Our challenge? Ensuring that the transition didn’t alter the existing geometry while working within extremely tight error tolerances. The highest achievable accuracy was required to maintain alignment between the completed and upcoming work. Every millimeter mattered, and through teamwork, precision, and determination, we made it happen. This experience reinforced a key lesson: In surveying, even the smallest adjustments can have a massive impact. Accuracy isn’t just a goal—it’s a necessity. #Surveying #Engineering #Precision #Construction #LessonsLearned #AccuracyMatters
