  • Portland's Urban Forest Vision: A Green Revolution The city is embarking on an ambitious plan to plant 660,000 trees over the next two decades, aiming to cover 33% of the city with a lush canopy. This initiative not only promises to beautify our streets but also to combat climate change and improve air quality. Key highlights of the plan: -Planting 33,000 trees annually -Focusing on areas with less tree coverage -Reducing costs for residents to plant and maintain trees What's particularly impressive is the city's use of TreePlotter to help map and manage their urban forest efficiently. This technology will be crucial in strategically placing new trees and monitoring the health of existing ones. It s exciting to see Portland taking such a proactive approach. This plan could serve as a model for other cities looking to enhance their green infrastructure. #UrbanForestry #Sustainability #Portland #GreenCities #TreePlotter Read more about Portland's efforts here: https://bit.ly/3DknaOb Portland's TreePlotter app is here: https://bit.ly/41DleKk

The spilled skittles have been kicked a bit further North! Still making good progress with UK LANDSCAPES LTD completing church surveys, total tree count is comfortably over 3000, which I expect to reach nearer 4000 when everywhere has been covered. TreePlotter? Software Suite has been instrumental in this, with some proper set up and initial processes followed is making this package of work easy to follow for surveys and tree works, with contractors able to access the works allocated to them. No rafts of paperwork to get confused over, no pdf reports for dozens of sites which get lost, wet, drawn on etc.. Surveyors involved all working to the same process enabling consistency and efficiency. #treesurveys #treerisk #treeplotter #uklandscapes
