ThoughtLight? is Civicom’s mobile insights app for ethnographic research and mobile diaries, providing both researcher and participant flexibility in many ways. Civicom ThoughtLight? is a useful tool for shopper insights, audio diaries, patient journeys, and rich, in-the-moment data and feedback gathering through use of participant mobile devices. Available on both Android and iOS, ThoughtLight? can be used for collecting user-generated content such as audio, text, photos, videos, and even geo-location. The app also has offline accessibility which enables participants to create content even when there is no data connection. The ThoughtLight? mobile experience allows moderator-participant interaction and provides researchers the ability to include activity-based questionnaires and options to encourage open-ended responses. Additionally, ThoughtLight? has the capability to extend to Civicom’s other platform capabilities. Respondent content generated through the ThoughtLight app can be posted on the Civicom ChatterBox? online community platform, where researchers can then use the robust Chatterbox? analytics tools to analyse and consolidate data, create excerpts, word clouds, and charts and graphs, as well as to formulate reports.
