The Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) changed the game when it was created as an immersive two-semester course to help students understand the skills and mindset necessary to succeed on Wall Street. Ten years later, it’s gone beyond what its architects initially envisioned. SMIF members past and present recently came together to celebrate this major milestone, shared how it impacted their careers and were the first to hear the news of soon-to-be-launched Graduate Student Investment Fund: https://lnkd.in/equq6aUw George Calhoun Jon Kaufman Emmanuel D. Clothing is a basic necessity we need for everyday life. Having access to clean and appropriate clothing can play a key role in helping individuals maintain their dignity and boost self-esteem. Many clothing donations often overlook a crucial category of clothing, underwear. To bridge this key donation gap, the Stevens chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, is partnering with the Hoboken Shelter to host a schoolwide underwear collection in honor of the holiday season. Now, through December 11, you can donate new undergarments for men and women in adult sizes S through 3XL at the front desk on the fourth floor of the Babbio Center. They have also put together an Amazon wishlist that you can check order from: https://lnkd.in/eNByjesE Make an impact this holiday season and empower our local Hoboken community members! If you have any questions about making a donation, please reach out to BSG President Isabelle MacRae at [email protected] or advisor Yadi Gomez at [email protected].

I am excited to see my article on racial minorities in executive leadership (boards, CEOs, c-suite) with my amazing coauthors Yangyang Zhang and Sibel Ozgen published in Leadership Quarterly journal. Based on an in-depth review of 148 relevant articles, we discuss the research evidence that racial minority representation is a salient factor affecting firm outcomes (e.g., firm performance, innovation) and the careers of racial minority leaders (e.g., compensation, promotion). For my academic friends, we also offer a future research roadmap, including advice for addressing challenges that scholars face when conducting related research, as well as suggestions for new and broader research directions. https://lnkd.in/eZPeDKKN School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology Stevens Institute of Technology
