??Generation WV Fellowship Recap: Session 7 Last week, our Generation WV Fellows immersed themselves in the rich culture, community, and natural beauty of Thomas, Davis, and Canaan Valley, WV! ?? Here’s a recap of the inspiring sessions, learning, and local experiences they shared: Thursday Highlights: ?? Art Walk with Theartofseth., local artist and gallery owner, who discussed how art has been key in revitalizing Tucker County. ?? Economic & Tourism Insights with Steve Leyh from Tucker County Development Authority and Jessica Waldo from Tucker County CVB / TuckerWV, who shared the region's drivers and challenges. Friday Highlights: ?? Professional Development with Sarah Koegler, consultant for The Ready, on Giving and Receiving Feedback. Community Engagement with David Cooper of Tucker Community Foundation on supporting local communities. ?? Insight into Tucker County's housing challenges from Karen Jacobson of Woodlands Development & Lending, who discussed their impactful work around affordable housing. ?? Fellows had some time to explore Blackwater Falls State Park and finally, a memorable dinner at White Grass XC Ski Area, where Chip Chase shared the center's commitment to community and how they are sustainable year-round. ? Saturday Highlights: ?? An enlightening session with The Nature Conservancy's July Cryser, who spoke on environmental partnerships in the region. A few Fellows even stayed behind for volunteer trail cleanup at White Grass! ???? It was an unforgettable week full of meaningful connections, learning, and community-building.
