Join The Nature Conservancy as the Pacific Division Director! The Nature Conservancy is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Pacific Division Director. This pivotal role will provide strategic conservation leadership for our Business Units in California, Hawai’i and Palmyra, and Micronesia and Polynesia. Founded in 1951, TNC is a global conservation organization dedicated to conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends. With a mission to tackle climate change and conserve healthy oceans, freshwater, and lands, we are committed to creating a world where nature and people thrive together. The Pacific Division Director will lead and manage a high-functioning team through organizational change, develop and implement conservation strategies that deliver meaningful results, and engage and inspire staff, supporters, partners, and stakeholders. This role also involves driving fundraising efforts with private donors, foundations, and government agencies, and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. We are looking for a proven manager with a passion for conservation and a deep appreciation for people and nature. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and collaborative management skills, experience in strategic planning and financial management, cultural competence and inclusive management experience, and excellent interpersonal communication skills. The Pacific Division is a critical part of TNC’s efforts, encompassing some of the world’s most important biodiversity hotspots. This division is focused on protecting native habitats, restoring natural ecological functions, and advancing indigenous and local community co-management. The Pacific Division is also dedicated to addressing species extinction and ensuring a viable future for both people and nature by deploying natural climate solutions and promoting energy transitions to mitigate and adapt to climate change impacts.
