    Leadership and Love - are they mutually exclusive? I don't think so. We are connection machines, and we are also social beings. After spending years researching and speaking to hundreds of remarkable leaders and humans about leadership and what makes a great leader - several things stood out to me. They knew who they were and loved themselves as leaders and people.? They all had a growth mindset and knew failing was part of being a leader. They cared for others and their success and growth. They focused on service and impact. They knew leaving a legacy made a difference. They knew it was about Love. Over the next few months, I will share my laws of leadership based on my new book, which will be published in 2025, and the Leadership Triangle.?

    Today, I will be on stage for Griffith University, speaking to 200 future leaders and students across Queensland. This is the 10th year I have been doing these events, which are my favourites. Why? It is like I am talking to my younger self. The guidance, motivation and leadership I want to share with these students and, yes, my younger self fuels my soul. I love building and teaching future leaders. Some things I share and teach regularly in my keynotes and programs are the power of self-reflection and great questions.     The world is rushing, with technology-driven innovation changing companies and industries dramatically. Despite the exciting new developments, employee engagement is at an all-time low. 85% of employees worldwide are not engaged or actively disengaged from their jobs. Disengaged employees have higher absenteeism, lower productivity, more accidents, and lower profitability. What is the cause of low employee engagement? The relationship between managers and employees is a crucial driver of employee engagement, and some studies indicate that as much as 70% of employee engagement is based on this vital relationship. Yet, managers' and leaders' responsibilities have increased significantly, making the world rush, with technology-driven innovation changing companies and industries dramatically.
