???Veterinary Insights: Q1 2025 Trends from?Vetsource ? As featured in?The Fountain Report, Vetsource’s Q1 analytics reveal valuable trends shaping veterinary practices. These insights, based on data from over 7,000 practices, highlight key challenges and opportunities for the industry: ? ?? Just under 40% of canine and feline patients visiting the vet in Q4 2024 purchased a vaccine. While feline patient share and total patients was consistent with values from Q4 2023, canine patient share decreased by 1% and total?patients declined over 5%. ?? Vaccine compliance for Canine Rabies and Lepto (71% and 49%, respectively) was up about 1% compared to Q4 2023, while compliance for all other antigens were flat YoY. Feline Rabies and FVRCP compliance (61% and 54%, respectively) was consistent with Q3 2024, while there was a slight decrease in patients compliant with FeLV (18%). ?? Canine para patient share was down about 1% (30%) YoY for the quarter, while total purchasing canine patients were down almost 6%. ? ???What These Numbers Tell Us: ? The decline in canine visits underscores the need for practices to focus on, improve and innovate client engagement strategies. ? Feline growth signals opportunities to tailor care models to meet the evolving needs of both cat owners and new cat owners. ? A slight uptick in vaccine compliance is encouraging but reveals room for improvement in education and outreach. ?
