Our Trauma Injury Prevention & Community Outreach Program recently hosted the sophomore class of Jennings High School for a powerful Sudden Impact presentation. The students learned about the serious consequences of impaired driving through firsthand accounts from medical and law enforcement experts. Our Lake Charles Memorial Health System team emphasized the importance of crash prevention, open communication with parents, and developing safe transportation alternatives. The Foundation is proud to partner with our Trauma Injury Prevention & Community Outreach Team to ensure the safety of our community. By educating, encouraging positive attitudes, and promoting healthy behaviors, we are continuing the standard for an award-winning program that has a direct impact on public safety. September is National NICU Awareness Month, and we are proud to shine a light on the incredible care provided at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The Foundation’s Women and Children’s Fund helps support several key resources for families whose babies are being cared for by our experts in the NICU. The fund supports initiatives at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for Women, the NICU, and pediatric programs & projects including: ??NICview cameras for parents who cannot stay with their babies in the NICU ??“Baby Goes Home” Package (includes a car seat, pack & play, and a one-month supply of diapers) ??
