Meet Misha and Khristina, a duo who've turned a challenging page in their lives into a story of strength and community support. Khristina, a single mom doing her absolute best, and Misha, a little guy with a big fight—taking on leukemia and showing us what toughness looks like. They came to us from the Kyiv region, in need of more than just a helping hand. With Misha's health on the line, it's crucial that he stays close to the hospital, avoiding the jostle of public transport that his immune system just can't handle. With a little help from our friends at TurnKey Tech Staffing, we've managed to set them up right across the street from where Misha gets his treatment. No more risky commutes, just quick dashes to see the docs. Also, we've got his living expenses covered. This puts us in a unique position to help those Ukrainian families that are suffering from the crippling devastation that Russia’s invasion has caused. No child should be part of war – and especially not those kids with significant health challenges. Team Ukraine exists to provide housing, food, clothing, medical assistance, and equipment to low-income refugee families with children with special medical needs who had to flee Ukraine due to Russia’s invasion. We believe no child should go without essential medical care because of this unjust war.
