Earlier this year, BrandSafway identified an opportunity to advance the scaffolding systems' tracking capabilities. Recruiting the Tauber team of Ufuoma Odje, Akhil Ramesh, and SHRI HARSHINI SHANMUGAM, (uniting across University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business and University of Michigan Industrial & Operations Engineering (IOE)) the students worked over the summer to develop an efficient AI-based image recognition model specifically tailored for the task. This initiative seeks to yield significant returns on investment through financial gains, heightened precision, operational efficiency, and cost-effectiveness enhancements within the construction sector. We cannot wait to see the results of all our students collaborating to create a more successful future for our industry partners!
