Tata Consultancy Services, Bombardier et TECHNATION Canada ont accueilli la finale d’AvIAtion Durable, le point culminant d’un défi d’innovation qui invitait les étudiants de niveau postsecondaire du Québec à fa?onner l’avenir de l’aviation d’affaires. Au Centre de finition Laurent Beaudoin de Bombardier, les étudiants finalistes ont présenté des concepts qui exploitent l’intelligence artificielle (IA) pour soutenir les efforts continus de l’industrie aéronautique en matière de développement durable. Les étudiants ont aussi eu un aper?u de l’écosystème technologique de Montréal alors que Luc Sirois, Innovateur en chef du Québec, a donné le coup d’envoi de l’activité avec une allocution sur l’avenir de l’IA. ? Pour faire la démonstration de l’immense potentiel de l’IA, le jury comptait notamment un robot! Alimenté par une technologie révolutionnaire d’IA générative, le robot qui assistait aux présentations a fait preuve de compétences conversationnelles et sociales de niveau humain en posant des questions réfléchies et en interagissant avec les étudiants, en fran?ais et en anglais! We're proud to support the next generation of innovators and leaders. Tata Consultancy Services, Bombardier, and TECHNATION Canada hosted the SustAInable Aviation finale — the culmination of an innovation challenge encouraging Quebec's post-secondary students to shape the future of business aviation. Taking place at Bombardier’s Laurent Beaudoin Completion Centre, student finalists presented proposals that leveraged artificial intelligence (AI) to support the aviation industry’s continued efforts toward sustainability. Students gained exposure to Montreal’s tech ecosystem as Quebec’s Chief Innovation Officer Luc Sirois kicked off the event with a keynote speech addressing the future of AI. To demonstrate the potential and power of AI, the judging panel included a robot! Powered by groundbreaking Generative AI technology, the robot exhibited human-level conversational and social skills while interacting with the students, taking in the presentations, and posing thoughtful questions to the participants —in both French and English!? Nearly 100 students from various faculties, including engineering, computer science, and commerce, enrolled in the competition, which offered participants the chance to win cash prizes totaling $16,000, as well as secure valuable internships.
