? In recent decades, nanocluster research has rapidly advanced. ? Though Cu nanoclusters are relatively new to the field, their use in chemical catalysis has expanded the potential applications of these materials. ? The reactivity of Cu nanoclusters is primarily determined by their precisely controlled structural architecture and surface-to-volume ratio, however, these factors are prone to change, significantly impacting their catalytic properties. ? Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of these parameters is crucial to guide future research efforts and develop new Cu nanoclusters with broader applications. ? Amit Pal,?Sourav Biswas,?Basudev Sahoo and?Yuichi Negishi present their Synpact on this area. ?? Read more here: https://lnkd.in/erqpv44g
SYNLETT Journal
图书期刊出版业
An international journal from Thieme reporting research results and current trends in short, personalized reviews.
关于我们
SYNLETT is an international, single-anonymized peer-reviewed Thieme journal reporting research results and current trends in chemical synthesis in short personalized reviews and preliminary communications. It covers all fields of scientific endeavor that involve organic synthesis, including catalysis, organometallic, medicinal, biological, and photochemistry, but also related disciplines and offers the possibility to publish scientific primary data. Impact Factor 2022: 2.0 Besides quality and data security, speed is of high importance in publishing research results. That’s why SYNLETT offers Select Crowd Review (SCR) as an additional option to traditional peer review. Opting for SCR, you will receive reviews within 4 days which is less than half of the duration of traditional peer review. On average, the reviews consist of 20–70 comments per paper submitted by up to 16 reviewers. The entire publication process using SCR takes ~22 days compared to ~34 days using traditional peer review. For crowd reviewing, we are constantly looking for new highly motivated crowd members. Please contact [email protected] if you want to learn more about Select Crowd Review or send your CV if you are interested in joining. ? Catalytic asymmetric dearomatization reactions represent a versatile platform for constructing complex optically active three-dimensional molecules. ?? Liuzhen Hou,?Longqing Yang,?Xiaohua Liu,?Weidi Cao and?Xiaoming Feng present a visible-light-induced asymmetric dearomative [2+2] cycloaddition/ring-expansion reaction of indole derivatives with simple alkenes in the presence of a chiral?N,N′-dioxide/terbium complex. ?? This strategy provides access to a range of valuable cyclopenta[b]indoles, and its synthetic potential is further showcased through a gram-scale synthesis, potential bioactivity against human breast cancer, and further transformation into a yuehchukene analogue. ?? ? Carboxylic acids, a bench-stable, readily available, and structurally diverse class of compounds, represent ideal starting materials for organic synthesis. ? In their Synpacts article, Luca Mareen Denkler,?Meghana Aladahalli Shekar and?Ala Bunescu highlight an iron-catalyzed, decarboxylative, C(sp3)–O bond-forming reaction that takes place under mild, photocatalytic, base-free conditions using 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl (TEMPO) derivatives as oxygenation reagents. ?? ? This synpacts article by Nicolas Müller,?Ond?ej Ková?,?Alexander Rode,?Daniel Atzl and?Thomas Magauer outlines their synthetic endeavors towards the?Ganoderma?meroterpenoid ganoapplanin. ?? This natural product was isolated from a?Ganoderma?fungus in 2016 and was found to be an inhibitor for T-type voltage-gated calcium channels. ??? Their synthetic approach is based on a powerful intramolecular Giese cyclization/intermolecular aldol cascade to link the northern aromatic to the southern terpenoid fragment. ?? ?? Published as part of our Natural Products and Bioactive Small Molecules series ?? Eight new 4,5-seco-abietane-type diterpenes, salpratones B–I, along with two analogues, featuring diverse 6/5/6, 6/6/6, 6/6/7, and 6/6/8 ring systems, were isolated from?Salvia prattii. ? Notably, salpratone B is the first example of a 4,5;13,14-bis-seco-abietane diterpene characteristic with a rare rearranged 6/5/6 tricyclic core skeleton. ?? Their structures were determined by comprehensive NMR spectroscopy, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and electronic circular dichroism. ?? While salpratones B, E, F can weakly prolong the clotting times of human plasma in the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) assays with concentrations of 100 μM, showing no appreciable anticoagulant activities. ??
