We transformed our 8'x3' table into an engaging space to connect, educate, and inspire. Umbra’s presence was felt from registration to the Day 1 keynote, with our CEO kicking off the conference as a panelist. With interactive displays and impactful conversations, we immediately answered the big questions: Who is Umbra? Why does it matter? Attendees left Milsat clearly understanding our mission and products (and received some fantastic swag). I hope to see you at SpacePower 2024!

MilSat 2024: Australia-US Technology Safeguard Agreement (TSA) opens Australia's commercial, multiuser spaceports to US companies for launches and returns. It was an honour to speak about Australia's commercial, multiuser spaceports Southern Launch and Equatorial Launch Australia (ELA) at the Silicon Valley Space Week #SVSW MilSat event. I got to share the stage with moderator Quilty Space founder Chris Quilty, a very wise Mark Lester, CEO Pantigo Lester, and US Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) Global Responsive Space Program Manager Nate Gapp. At MilSat Vice Chief of Space Operations Michael Guetlein announced US Space Force's forthcoming Allied Space Strategy and reiterated its Commercial Space Strategy. The Australia-US TSA creates an international market where the Australian and US Governments and commercial actors can work together to realise commercial, civil government and national security goals to, from and through space. This week in Mountain View we had the opportunity to catch up with long time space and satellite industry colleagues and meet many new industry leaders as well. Thank you to the entire team at SatNews for another fantastic Silicon Valley Space Week (#SVSW). Solstar Space Co. was proud to have been included in the program and we look forward to 2025.

A big thanks to SatNews for providing the opportunity to discuss how optical communications is shaping next generation of satellite architectures. I appreciated the different perspectives provided by Inuk Kang and Gregg Burgess, with a special thanks to our moderator Chris Quilty.
