The 18-story, 263-unit 201 Federal St project is a bold urban revitalization effort situated in downtown Portland, aiming to be a shining example of #sustainable urban development, drive economic growth, and improve the lives of its residents and visitors. Sto Panel Technology affiliate Skyrise Prefab Building Solutions Inc. engineered, manufactured, and installed 17,000 sq-ft. of Sto Panel Classic NExT ci panels for this mixed-use, mid-rise #building in Newcastle, #Ontario. The project used StoCast Brick, a prefabricated brick shape, and StoSignature Stone, a customized finish. The #design intent was to match the look and feel of the heritage brick facades on nearby historical buildings, but large windows with very little panel surface area created unusual design hurdles. Additionally, installation in the middle of a residential neighborhood, with no scaffolding, in the depth of a Canadian winter, contributed to the challenges of this unique project. SkyRise levered the benefits of lightweight Sto Panel Classic NExT ci and StoCast Brick to accommodate the large windows that offered no room to support a heavy brick wall, which was accomplished without compromising the aesthetic appeal carefully designed into the building. The design team and local community were further delighted by speed of installation, high thermal efficiency, and cost effectiveness the SkyRise team brought to this build. An exciting new premium rental project has entered the design phase. This 27-story tower will feature prefabricated #stopanels, incorporating distinctive architectural elements. Jersey Panel faced a complex #design, a limited budget, and a compressed university-driven schedule for this Kean University project in Union, NJ. With assistance from Claremont Construction Group and Netta Architects, the successful project saw the engineering, fabrication, and installation of 65,000 sq-ft. of fully finished wall panels. To achieve cost savings while remaining faithful to the design, Jersey Panel replaced the metal panels of the design with Sto Panel Classic ci panels, which featured a metal panel appearance by using Stolit Milano. This created an aesthetic that thrilled the client and saved them approximately $800,000. After that, Jersey Panel focused on hitting their deadline – by prefabricating panels off-site, the #building was enclosed sooner with all panels installed in about five weeks, cutting months off from an on-site #construction schedule and meeting the guaranteed completion date ahead of arriving students.
