That's a Wrap! The aSTEAM Village 2024-2025 Annual Programming has successfully concluded! Thanks to the incredible support from students, parents, and our dedicated supporters, we were able to provide six students with the opportunity to participate in two National STEM Competitions hosted by two prestigious organizations, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and Great Plains Future City - KS and KC Metro. Despite the contrasting membership and participation demographics of these organizations, the results spoke volumes. The key message resonates: Teamwork, Communication, Problem Solving, Systems, and Processes are universal skills that surpass boundaries, showcasing the transferable skills our students are honing. Remember, we are NOT a School! #NSBE50 Next on the agenda for aSTEAM Village 2025 are the STEaM Challenges Summer Camp, RedTails TechFORCE Digital Engineering Boot Camp, @showmeseniors Cohorts A and III, and the BDPA Kansas City HS Computer Competition (HSCC). **Dedication to the aSTEAM Village Mission** At aSTEAM Village, we are steadfast in our mission "to Inform, Engage, and Empower individuals through STEaM education, college and career certification training, workshops, and courses for ages 8 to 102. We aim to enable individuals and communities to lay their own groundwork for innovation, workforce development, community growth, and economic advancement in both the digital and physical worlds." **April 2020** Our work at aSTEAM Village is well-recognized, thanks to the unwavering support of our ally, UMKC School of Law Professor Anthony Luppino. He has facilitated our engagement with various UMKC departments, including Urban Planning, Architecture, Computer Science, and Engineering. We have also collaborated extensively with the Mid-America Regional Council and various political entities. This video showcases our CommUNITY Development and CommUNITY Engagement model, which we designed, deployed, and presented with the support of Councilwoman Robinson and the Heartland Black Chamber. While our efforts are well-known, they may sometimes be overshadowed by differing agendas. One agenda focuses on Brick & Mortar/World Cup 2026, while our agenda emphasizes preparing people to engage in trade with World Cup 2026 cities by Q3 2025 through our digital CommUNITY Asset Tool (dCAT). **Important Point** Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 shutdown, our students continued to learn and prepare for this presentation on April 29, 2020. While many academic institutions were closed and focused on ensuring students were fed, we remained committed to teaching, learning, connecting, and growing. By embracing digital literacy and creating digital and physical community connections, individuals can participate in a dynamic economy driven by local trade and innovation. In this paradigm, people are the driving force, with technology serving as a tool to amplify their impact. By embracing a mindset shift and investing in personal development through platforms like ME University, individuals can unlock their potential as an Advanced Manufacturing Facility, contributing to a network of empowered communities. It's a choice between adhering to outdated norms dictated by corporations or embarking on a transformative journey of self-discovery and skill enhancement. By recognizing our collective strength and the wealth of assets within each community, we can collectively build a thriving economy that benefits all involved.
