Reproductive Biologist | Research Scientist | Professor | Genomics Education Partnership Faculty | Research Mentor
Innovation Scholars program kicked off in October with an in-person orientation session at Mayo Clinic. Since that time, the multidisciplinary team of four St. Catherine University undergraduate students led by graduate student Team Leader Alfredo Karduss from the University of St. Thomas completed extensive research, developed recommendations, prepared their final report, and polished their final presentation for Mayo Clinic Ventures leaders. Among other professional skills, students developed collaborative teamwork and leadership skills while wrestling with the ambiguity of a real-time, real-world project for Mayo Clinic Ventures. Quite the accomplishment! The team received guidance and support along the way from St. Catherine University faculty members Kellie Agrimson, Lacey Chu, Tami McDonald, and Jeff Moretz. Kellie Agrimson serves as our IS Campus Liaison. Attached is the official St. Catherine University IS team photo along with a photo with team mentors. St. Catherine University student participants: Lalisse Burka ‘26 (chemistry and biology), Helen Mckinnon ‘26 (marketing and economics), Cheyenne Oja ‘26 (biology; minor - economics), and Sarah Wangen ‘27 (exercise and sports science and financial economics).
