I had the incredible opportunity to attend the ATCE 2024 conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, in The US ????, representing Heriot-Watt University in the Petrobowl competition. Our team fought hard and made it to the quarter-finals, but unfortunately, we didn't make it further. Nonetheless, it was an honor to compete alongside my amazing teammates Mohamed Al Balushi and Oluwafunto Sofidiya whose dedication and effort were outstanding. Beyond the competition, I had the chance to explore the exhibition, connect with professionals from the petroleum industry, and learn about the latest technologies and innovations shaping our field. I also had the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of New Orleans! It has been an incredible privilege to lead the Program Committee as the Program Chair for the 100th anniversary of the Society of Petroleum Engineers International Annual Technical Conference & Exhibition 2024 this year. Reflecting on the legacy of past SPE leaders in this role fills me with gratitude and humility. I am thrilled to announce that Sarah Kern will take on the mantle of Program Chair, accompanied by John Howard as Vice Program Chair for ATCE 2025. Their dedication and expertise will undoubtedly contribute to the success of the conference. ???????? My first ATCE 2024 was a blast! As a geo let loose in the wilds of the engineering world, I met some brilliant folks, saw some great tech talks, and had deep discussions on #geothermal and #CCS. Monday's SPE Geothermal Technical Section - GTTS reception was a huge success, I was grateful to represent Seequent as one of the sponsors, and as a SPE-GTTS board member. And of course NOLA was incredible!

On the last day of Society of Petroleum Engineers International ATCE 2024, September 25, 2024, we visited exhibitions from oil services companies, including SLB , Halliburton , and Baker Hughes. We gained valuable insights into newly developed fluid technology and strategies for maximizing value from mature fields. I never imagined that a geological engineering student like me, would have the opportunity to attend SPE ATCE 2024 and represent Padjadjaran University SPE Student Chapter, Universitas Padjadjaran , Indonesia, and Asia Pacific at the PetroBowl Championship XXIII in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States of America. This achievement would not have been possible without the support of my family, friends, Prof Ildrem as our faculty advisor and our sponsors IKA GEOLOGI UNPAD, Kahf by ParagonCorp, Universitas Padjadjaran , and Lab Geofisika FTG, who helped us reach this point. I will cherish this memory forever, as it embodies not only the hard work and dedication that brought us here, but also the invaluable lessons learned and the meaningful connections made along the way. I am also open to discussions and will share this valuable experience with anyone who wants to know more about it.

Attended the 100th edition of the Society of Petroleum Engineers International Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition ATCE 2024 in New Orleans, Louisiana-USA marking my 14th SPE ATCE since my first in 2002 at San Antonio, Texas. Accompanied by my wife Chhaya Bali, we had the pleasure of meeting with industry leaders like Terry Palisch, Nathan Meehan, and Simon Seaton and their spouses at the SPE Foundation Owls Club Dinner. Throughout the event, engaged with esteemed professionals such as Ganesh Thakur, NAE, NAI , Egbert Imomoh,Darcy Spady and incoming SPE President Olivier HOUZE. It was a pleasure to reconnect with old friends like Kamel Bennaceur, Fernando Machado,Carlos Alberto Pedroso ????,Josh Etkind and Gail Ramdath, Tony Ogunkoya and my old friend Pete Slagel enhancing our society relationships. Attending various meetings and the vibrant exhibition, had the opportunity to interact with renowned individuals like Steve Cheung and Professor iraj ershaghi, S.M. Farouq Ali enhancing the ATCE experience. Attended SPE-Production & Facilities (P&F) Advisory Committee Meeting with Hamad M. Al Marri, Frederick (Rick) Stanley, Linda Battalora, Victoria Pons and Phaneendra B. Kondapi amongst other committee members. Had chance meetings with Johana Dunlop, Sushma Bhan and Hitesh Mohan. From the Opening Ceremony to the Awards Banquet, every moment was filled with valuable insights and connections, making the event truly memorable.
