The SREI Practice retreat On October 20 featured a dynamic morning of insightful talks. We’re still abuzz. Here are some highlights: ????. ?????????? ????????????, ““???????????????????? ???? ?????? ?????? ???????? ????????????????????”:” He noted that supplements like DHEA, CoQ10, and growth hormone may improve ovarian stimulation responses, but intraovarian PRP and testosterone have not shown effective increases in pregnancy rates. Strategies such as luteal phase starts and mild stimulation may be appropriate in select cases. Patients should also be aware of potential menstrual cycles during IVF if injectable medications are started in the luteal phase. ????. ???????????? ??????????????????, “?????????? ?????? ?????????????????????????? (??????) ?????????????? & ????????????????????”: SDF, referring to breaks in sperm DNA, can lead to lower fertilization rates and recurrent pregnancy loss, often influenced by lifestyle and oxidative stress. Techniques for measuring SDF include the TUNEL assay and flow cytometry, with high SDF linked to reduced pregnancy rates post-IUI and IVF/ICSI. Strategies for SDF reduction include lifestyle changes, antioxidants, shorter abstinence intervals, microfluidic sperm sorting, and appropriate surgical options. SDF analysis is not recommended for initial infertility evaluations. ????. ???????? ???????????? addressed the feasibility and funding of prospective and retrospective research in the REI Privademic model. ????. ???????????????? ?????????????? addressed the history of and upcoming changes to SART outcome reporting, reflecting evolving practice patterns. ????. ???????????? ???????????? highlighted the importance of communication during exams and introduced the VASE technique (Validate, Ask, Support, Empathy) for empathetic care. ????. ???????? ?????? outlined nationwide and regional strategies and trends in REI physician recruitment. #srei #socrei #rei #infertility #fertility #fertilitydoc #fertilitydoctor #reifellowship #obgyn #obgynfellowship #infertilitydoc #infertilitydoctor #asrm2024 @asrm_org

????????: ???????? ?????????????????????? ???????? ???????? hosting ?????? ?????????????? – “?????????????????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????? ?????????? ??????????????????????????” Speakers: Amy E. Young, MD, ABOG Executive Director and Emily Jungheim, MD, REI Division Chair, ABOG When: October 15 at 11 – 11:45 am and 5 – 5:45 pm CDT Please register for either event by October 14, 5 pm CDT at the link: https://shorturl.at/SS1Fm In April 2024, ABOG released a statement clarifying that board certification and supervision by non-accredited entities violate ABOG's professionalism standards. ABOG emphasized that misrepresenting certification or scope of practice is unprofessional and unethical. While ABOG does not regulate practice management, it will work with REI and relevant societies to educate patients on the importance of seeking care from board-certified REI specialists. Two webinars will be held on October 15, 2024, to discuss this issue further. Please watch for more details. Drs. Young and Jungheim will share key points regarding the functions of authoritative bodies, including institutions, clinical departments, and training programs and share ways ABOG will promote the REI subspecialty and the value of REI board certification. Happy #FellowshipFriday to our newest REI Fellows! Congratulations to the Class of 2028 for matching a little over one week ago! We are so excited to welcome these bright young minds to the field of REI, and can’t wait to see how they will mold the future of the field. * Every REI remembers match day, and the moment their dreams were actualized. While some went straight through after college, others persevered through generalist careers, through not matching their first time, through military service, through family matters, and through varying interests, and we couldn’t be happier that they ended up here. * We as REIs are obsessed with building families, so being excited for our newest class is an understatement. * Tag, share, yell, shout, page the news! The Class of 2028 is coming in hot and no stopping them now! * #fellowship #REIClassof2028 #Classof2028 #Fellowshipmatch #MatchDay2024 #futureoffertility #growingfamily #SREI #ERASMatch #SREIcomposite #itsamatch
